Artist Statement

Morgan Goldsmith’s work is an autobiographical excavation of the spaces we inhabit—between the human and the divine, the selves we perform and the selves we return to, the holy woven through the ordinary. Through painting, mixed media object-making, performance, poetry, and participatory movement experiences, she translates her lived life into visual and embodied narratives.

Her practice makes interior worlds tangible: the subtle shifts of motherhood, partnership, grief, desire, memory, and homecoming. Each work becomes a site of witnessing—an invitation for viewers to recognize themselves, to feel the tender thresholds of their own lives, and to encounter the sacred presence alive in everyday experience.
